Ishtar developed a technology called Surana capable of extracting the life force of Daeva and converting it into alternative energy. To facilitate research and development, numerous groups of Balaur dedicated themselves to systematically hunting Daeva and other lifeforms for use as experimental subjects, imprisoning them in nearby bases and supplying them to Nahid Brigade Fortress whenever needed.
