Safe Haven

Village

A village in northern Altgard with a long history. Having developed over time as a refuge for those fleeing legal troubles or the Balaur, its residents are extremely wary of outsiders. More recently, a Balaur Dredgion crashed in front of the village, isolating it further from the outside world, but also making it generally safe from Balaur threats.

Galorik's Inspection Area

Village

A Safe Haven Inspection Area managed by the village militia. It is used to defend against the invasion of the Legion Outlaws and to prevent unauthorized people from entering the village.

Dredgion Crash Site

Battlefield

An area where the Dredgion of the Fafnir Brigade crashed after being caught in the Abyss Rift accident. The surrounding soil is heavily contaminated with waste fluids from the ship.

Creion Campsite

Village

A temporary camp set up by Creion for researching the Dredgion.

Temporary Investigation Base

Village

A temporary base built to investigate the area around the Dredgion Crash Site. Dispatched Daeva are keeping an eye on this area and are carrying out the tasks given by Nemon.

Searcher Rock

Village

A base located near the Dredgion ship that crashed in the Calderon Canyon. Access to Dredgion is impossible due to the Drakana oozing out of the ship.

Canyon Dispatch Area

Village

A makeshift base set up by the Daeva dispatched to the Dredgion crash site in Calderon Canyon.

Quai Campsite

Village

A base of the Quai Merchant Guild, who once dominated Altgard's commerce until they were ousted by the Steel Hammer Merchants and forced to move to their current location. Baba, the head of this branch, is looking for a way to regain the Guild's footing by helping Nemon.

Nameless Cemetery

Battlefield

A graveyard for those who died fighting the Balaur. The sheer amount of dead has meant that many were buried without headstones, and the spirits of those Daeva who failed to return to the flow of Odyle roam freely.

Gravekeeper Camp

Village

A base occupied mainly by gravekeepers.

Neglected Crematorium

Village

A former crematorium, but abandoned since the Karas Massacre. It is now occasionally used by gravekeepers to store supplies.

Mire Campsite

Village

A place where criminals exiled even from Safe Haven eke out a living by digging through the debris of the crashed Dredgion for useful items, or fishing relics out of the streams of wastewater.

Calderon Canyon

Battlefield

A canyon in northern Altgard. There are various minerals and caves located along the north of the canyon.

Silent Hill

Battlefield

A hilly area between the Nameless Cemetery and the Sanctum Outpost.

Sanctum Outpost

Battlefield

Once the main base of the Destruction Archons operating near Zikel's Sanctum, it has since been taken over by the Balaur. Now that the Daeva's rebellion has been quelled, Draconute troops manage the area.

Fang Hideout

Village

A building that once housed Zikel's Faithful before they entered the sanctum, until a Balaur bombardment destroyed all but the basement. It now serves as a hideout for the Fang Legion as they fight against the Balaur.

Temporary Retreat

Village

A place where the Fang Legion, who had infiltrated the Sanctum Outpost, hides from the Balaur's eyes.

Moslan Forest

Battlefield

A forested area between Altgard Fortress and the Vaspelt Timberlands. Under the care of the Elim, it was once home to a variety of flora and fauna, but recent raids by the Blood Blades have left it in ruins.

Odar's Shade

Village

An Elim village at the entrance to Moslan Forest founded under the leadership of Odar, an Elim elder. A recent attack by the Blood Blades resulted in the Elim Odar falling into a deep sleep, and the Nornir in the village being abducted.

Elim's Rest

Village

Originally a rest stop for visitors to the forest, the Elim came to stay here when visitors came less frequently. There are no Elim left after the Blades set fire to it.

Forest Hideout

Village

A small cave on the outskirts of Moslan Forest. It was used as a refuge by local residents when the forest was burning.

Collapsed Chasm

Village

A small clearing between the stones and fallen trees. The young Elim used to come here and play, but the Blood Blades set it ablaze and destroyed it.

Nornir Assembly

Village

A new base for the Nornir, who have gathered here from all over Moslan Forest while fleeing the attacks of the Blood Blades. The residence of Urd, who leads the Nornir, is here.

Uruthumheim

Battlefield

Built to honor a Daeva named Uruthum who led eleven warriors to slay the giant Drake Minusha during the Millennium War, this site has since crumbled to ruins.

Abandoned Site

Village

A base built with the remnants of the old ruins, located at the entrance to Uruthumheim from Moslan Forest.

Minushan Site

Village

This is where the stone statues of Uruthum and the eleven Daevas who defeated Minusha were erected. Currently, the site is in ruins as several statues are missing and the structure has deteriorated over time.

Victorious Daeva's Statue

Village

This is where the stone statue of Uruthum was erected to share the news of triumph after defeating the great Drake Minusha.

Purifying Forest

Battlefield

A forest protected by the power of the ancient Sacred Tree Grisilla. Because of the contamination resulting from Fafnir's Poison Blood, Grisilla has weakened and the entire forest is losing its purifying powers.

Guide Rest Stop

Village

A base for the Spirit Guides who are investigating the strange phenomena happening in the Purifying Forest.

Faded Stump

Village

A base for the Spirit Guides and Nornir that came to investigate the Sacred Tree Grisilla in relation to the strange happenings in the Purifying Forest.

Healing Spring

Village

A spring imbued with restorative powers that can clear an area of any toxic aura. Since the Purifying Forest has been losing its power, the spring's power has also been weakening.

Dranactus

Battlefield

Land used by the Balaur to raise Drana for their food supply. Drana has stained the entire area red, with Balaur and their minions wherever one looks.

Briskwind Shelter

Village

A hidden base at the canyon where refugees from all over Altgard gather. The food supply is poor, so empty bellies abound.

Battlescar Mound

Battlefield

A hill in Altgard where a massive clash between Balaur and defiant Daeva took place. Now it is a peaceful meadow frequented by grazing animals.

Hidden Cave

Village

A cave on the side of a dumpsite for organic waste derived from Drana cultivation. It is also used as a hideout by the Salvation Legion before they escape after rescuing their imprisoned comrades.

North Laborer's Tent

Village

A tent situated in the north, housing human laborers working in Dranactus. Its fabric is so worn that it hardly suits to keep out the rain. Drugged and delirious laborers either rest in a daze, or collapse while struggling to catch their breath.

South Laborer's Tent

Village

A tent situated in the south, housing human laborers working in Dranactus. Its fabric is so worn that it hardly suits to keep out the rain. Drugged and delirious laborers either rest in a daze, or collapse while struggling to catch their breath.

Basfelt Ruins

Battlefield

This place was once a village of loggers and hunters until it was largely destroyed by the Balaur. Now it is overgrown bush, and the terrain where the Balaur bombardment was concentrated is pitted and twisted, leaving only the shattered ruins of Zikel's Temple.

Basfelt Waterfall

Village

A small base naturally formed around a waterfall as more and more people move in and out of the area. Refugees, grave robbers and relic seekers travelling to and from the Basfelt Ruins.

Spirit Isle

Battlefield

Once a paradise for spirits and animals living in harmony, the island's ecosystem is rapidly collapsing as a result of Poison Blood contamination. Spirit Guides have established a base in an area free of contamination and work tirelessly towards the restoration of the island.

Guide's Dwelling

Village

A base of the Spirit Guides who remain to aid in the recovery of the Spirit Isle. It also serves as a forward base for those exploring the island.

Graverobber Campsite

Village

A small base for a group of people who make their living searching for and stealing relics from the Basfelt Ruins. It consists of a barely more than a few mud huts and stacked chests of looted goods.

Destroyed Ruins

Village

The remains of a temple attached to the Destruction Archon Fortress. The building is completely destroyed, and only a few broken stone statues remain. In the center, there is a half-broken stele inscribed with the Archon Oath.

Shulak Street Stall

Village

A street stall set up by Shulak trading in the looted goods from the Basfelt Ruins. Despite its small size, it is popular for its wide range of products and willingness to obtain rare items for an extra price.

Mahindel Cliff

Village

A small stretch of land connecting northern and southern Altgard. Once a crucial trading hub for Shulak merchants, it now serves as little more than a bridge.

Steel Hammer Base

Village

A rest area for Shulak who guard the Gates of Fafnir.

Steel Hammer Merchants HQ

Village

A town established by Shulak of the Steel Hammer Merchants. It was originally a base for the Quai Merchant Guild, and a port that boasted a status as the logistical center of Altgard, with a steady stream of airships carrying goods from the Abyss and across Asmodae. It has since been taken over by the Steel Hammer Merchants, collaborators with the Balaur.

Mahindel River

Battlefield

A large river that bisects the eastern region of Altgard from north to south. After the fall of AION, the river basin expanded because of changes to the landscape.

Fafnite Deposit

Battlefield

A Fafnite Gemstone Mine located in the Gribade Highland. The Steel Hammer Merchants, who obtained the mining rights from the Balaur, are using their laborers to dig for Fafnite Gemstones.

Steel Hammer Workcamp

Village

A camp for Shulak laborers. It is also used to mine and load the surrounding Fafnite gemstones. The mined gemstones and carts are scattered around.

Western Gribade Highland

Battlefield

A rugged territory south of the Mahindel River, which splits Altgard into north and south. Outlaws are currently occupying the area and are extending the reach of their power.

Idun's Lake

Battlefield

A bitterly cold lake, surrounded by thick mist. Its black waters are heavily polluted by runoff from the Gribade mines, making it difficult even to approach and earning it the moniker "the Lake of the Dead".

Abandoned Campsite

Village

A campsite used by the Shulak, until they abandoned it as the Blades increased their presence in the area. It is now home to surviving members of legions destroyed by the Blades.

Eastern Gribade Highland

Battlefield

The upper eastern area of Gribade Highland—no more than a parched land with only a small patch of grass. A temporary campsite has been built by a Black Claw search party sent to capture Amunta and members of the Daybreak Society.

Amunta's Hideout

Village

The hideout of Ritualist Amunta who was exiled from Black Claw Village. In the past, there were many crates of supplies for the Daybreak Society, but now they have been looted and are empty.

Southern Gribade Highland

Battlefield

The highlands located between the Western and Eastern Gribade Highlands, to the south of Idun's Lake. The road to Zemurru's Tomb is located here, but it is not being maintained.

Steel Hammer Temporary Trading Post

Village

A temporary trading post for the Steel Hammer Merchants, located south of Idun's Lake. Established to facilitate trade between Amunta and Popokiki, it enjoys a prime location on the route connecting Southern and Eastern Gribade, but is modest in terms of scale.

Black Claw Village

Battlefield

The village of the Black Claw Tribe, Mau minions of the Balaur. As soon as the Black Claw Tribe experienced the power of Fafnite, they disavowed their ancestors and swore allegiance to the Balaur in pursuit of ever-greater power.

Zemurru's Tomb

Village

A base for members of the Daybreak Society fleeing Black Claw Village. It was once a sacred place to the Mau because of the grave of their great hero, Zemurru, but no one visits anymore.

Secret Rendezvous Point

Village

A secret rendezvous point for the Daybreak Society. Once used to store totems, it has long sat abandoned. Broken totems lie scattered, coated in dust.

Kumrica's Cellar

Village

A cellar beneath the tree housing Kumrica, a member of the Daybreak Society. Inside are food, weapons, and other supplies needed for survival in an emergency.

Muqaka's Quarters

Village

Quarters where Muqaka, the Chief of Black Claw Village, resides. All Fafnite production and trade statements, among other important documents, are kept in his quarters.

Lagta Fortress

Battlefield

The main base of the Lagta Brigade, who rule over Altgard under High Commander Lagta. The base periodically sends Fafnite to Ishalgen and Morheim.

Impetusium Square

Battlefield

A large square in front of the Impetusium. Its structures have been destroyed, with only a few traces of stairs and columns remaining, and it is now occupied by Balaur working hard to find a way to penetrate the Blood Barrier. Balaur camps and sabotage devices are dotted all over.

Collapsed Hall Of Fame

Village

A small hall at the bottom of Impetusium Hill. It once housed a statue of Daeva, the winners of the Impetusium, but now it has been destroyed and only traces remain.

Fissure Cave

Village

A natural cave between the cliffs of Basfelt Ruins. Graverobbers, fleeing from the Blades, hide here.

Tranein Highland

Battlefield

A peaceful hill on the outskirts of the Sanctum Outpost.

Tranein Pond

Battlefield

A small pond on the Tranein Highland.

Watcher's Tent

Village

A small campsite built in the northern Tranein Highland. Avent, Nemon's loyal subordinate, resides here to watch over the Tranein Lake area.

Munin's Bridge

Battlefield

A bridge that connects northern Altgard to the Moslan Forest. Named by the Nornir after their teacher Munin.

Immortal Isle

Battlefield

An island isolated far from the rest of Altgard, now made accessible by a recently discovered Windstream. Because it was isolated from Altgard long ago, the island's ecosystem evolved separately.

Outskirts Stall

Village

A street stall of Shulak located on the road to Morheim. It sells goods from Morheim or medicines that can only be found in the southernmost part of Altgard.
