Aion 2 Chanter Daevanion guide: nodes to take first
NCSOFT / AION 2 official Steam screenshots
TL;DR
- Take the offensive orange nodes first: Combat Speed on Nezekan, Damage Boost on Zikel and Critical Damage Boost on Vaizel.
- Skip Triniel's Multi-Hit Chance nodes. aLuckyRO says Multi-Hit is not a Chanter stat.
- Then take the skill nodes for Dark Crush, Rushing Smash, Onslaught, Recuperation and Spinning Strike, plus the passive nodes for Attack Preparation and Wind's Promise.
- Spend leftover points on Attack and other offensive stats. aLuckyRO sees no need for defensive nodes this early.
How the boards work for Chanter
Chanter has five Daevanion boards. aLuckyRO's picks on each:
| Board | Level | Crystals | Orange nodes first | Skill nodes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nezekan | 12 | Daevanion | Combat Speed | Rushing Smash, Attack Preparation, Onslaught, Dark Crush |
| Zikel | 20 | Daevanion | Damage Boost | Dark Crush, Wind's Promise, Rushing Smash, Recuperation, Spinning Strike |
| Vaizel | 30 | Daevanion | Critical Damage Boost | Dark Crush, Onslaught, Attack Preparation |
| Triniel | 40 | Daevanion | None | Recuperation, Dark Crush, Spinning Strike, optionally Rushing Smash |
| Azphel | 45 | Battle | PvP stats | Not covered |
| Node colour | What it does | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Orange | Big stat node | 4 |
| Blue | +1 rank to an active skill | 3 |
| Green | Raises a passive skill | 2 |
| White | Small stat | 1 |
Each of the first four boards has a node for every one of Chanter's twelve base active skills. Skill points stop at rank 10, so these nodes are how Spinning Strike and Recuperation reach 12, and most of how Dark Crush climbs toward the rank 16 specialty that removes its cooldown. The Chanter PvE build explains which ranks you need.
aLuckyRO's method is the same on every board. Open the orange line you want, then look along it for the closest skill nodes your build uses. If a skill node is far off the line, skip it and take that skill on another board where it is closer.
The numbered nodes on each board below follow his choices. The planner finds the path between them for you. Open any board in the Daevanion planner to plan a route within your crystal budget.
Nezekan: Combat Speed
Two Combat Speed and two Cooldown Reduction orange nodes. aLuckyRO says these speed nodes were weakened for the global version but you still need them. He skips Recuperation here because it sits too far off the line.

- 5Onslaught +1 skill level · 3 points · level 12
- 6Dark Crush +1 skill level · 3 points · level 12
Zikel: Damage Boost
Two Damage Boost and two Damage Tolerance nodes. Spinning Strike's node sits right next to the top-right Damage Boost. Taking it here and on Triniel gives you the two board ranks Spinning Strike needs for rank 12.

- 7Spinning Strike +1 skill level · 3 points · level 20
Vaizel: Critical Damage Boost
Two Critical Damage Boost nodes, plus two Critical Damage Tolerance, a defensive stat.
aLuckyRO explains the pick with a dummy test: Chanter's spammed skills rarely crit. Dark Crush is the exception, because its Critical Hit specialty makes every hit a crit, so Critical Damage Boost from this board and from Wind's Promise pays off mostly on Dark Crush.

- 2Critical Damage Boost +1.5% · 4 points · level 30
- 3Dark Crush +1 skill level · 3 points · level 30
- 4Onslaught +1 skill level · 3 points · level 30
- 5Attack Preparation +1 skill level · 2 points · level 30
Triniel: skill nodes only
Six orange nodes, three Multi-Hit Chance and three Multi-Hit Resist. aLuckyRO activates none of them.
Creator tip
We don't activate multi hit chance or such. That's not your thing.
Take Recuperation and Dark Crush first, then Spinning Strike once you have the points.

- 1Recuperation +1 skill level · 3 points · level 40
- 2Dark Crush +1 skill level · 3 points · level 40
- 3Spinning Strike +1 skill level · 3 points · level 40
- 4Rushing Smash +1 skill level · 3 points · level 40
After the priority nodes
With these four boards done, Dark Crush has gained a rank on every one of them. That is how aLuckyRO's fresh character reaches rank 14 with no help from Arcana. The last two ranks to 16 have to come from elsewhere. If you have points left, he says to look for Attack first. He plays Chanter for maximum offense and sees no current content that needs defensive nodes.
Creator tip
And if you will left some points, just find first attack because you are the chanter guys.
