Aion 2 Ranger guide: playstyle, build and boards

TL;DR
- Ranger is a ranged bow class with no positional requirement. You can hit a boss from any side and keep shooting while melee classes move out of mechanics.
- Creators rate it one of the most consistent damage dealers and one of the easiest classes to learn.
- The core loop is short. Keep your buffs up, refresh Marking Shot, fire Deadshot inside its Precision window, and hold your macro.
- Build around Vaizel's Authority and Bow of Blessing. Every creator we checked runs both stigmas.
- Push Deadshot and Gale Arrow toward rank 20 first. Damage barely changes with rank; the specialty slots are what you are leveling for.
Is Ranger right for you?
Pick Ranger if you want steady damage from range and a rotation you can learn in an evening. The class has no back or front attack bonus, so your damage does not depend on where you stand. Long fights suit it, because you rarely have to stop attacking.
Creator tip
The Ranger is probably the most complete all-rounder among the classes. It is good at basically everything and has very few situations where it feels weak.
The trade-offs are survivability and ceiling:

Creator tip
Performance-wise, rangers are generally always right there in the top three or four across all fights, and generally shine in raids where fights last longer and are more punishing.
How Ranger plays
Your damage comes from a handful of skills that you chain together with the in-game macro:

| Deadshot | Charge skill, three charge levels. 35% more damage with Precision |

| Drill Dart | Applies Bleed, cuts incoming healing by 60%, restores 100 MP on a Critical Hit |
Bleed and burn effects add damage over time on top of this. Passives such as Concentrated Fire proc extra damage against targets taking damage over time.

Daevanion boards
Ranger has five boards. Each of the first four has one node for each of Ranger's twelve base active skills, so the boards add up to four ranks to every one of them.
