Aion 2 Sorcerer PvE build: specialties, stigmas and macro

TL;DR

  • This is an early-game build. aLuckyRO made it on a fresh character with few skill and stigma points, so most actives sit at rank 8 with one specialty.
  • Push Hellfire first. Take +30% Skill Speed at rank 8, and swap to Fire Damage over Time on long boss fights.
  • Pick MP specialties on your fillers. Sorcerer passives only pay out while your MP is high, so keep it above 50%.
  • Stigmas: Element Enhancement, Cold Storm, Fire Wall and Delayed Explosion.
  • Level Robe of Flame, Robe of Earth and Fire Mark first among passives.
  • Put fillers on the macro. Cast Hellfire and your cooldown reductions yourself.

How skill ranks work

Every active skill has five specialties but only three slots. Skill points take a skill to rank 10; the rest comes from gear and the Daevanion boards.

RankOpens
8First slot, three specialties to choose from
12Second slot and the fourth specialty
16Fifth specialty
20Third slot

aLuckyRO's build assumes you have just finished leveling and are short on points. His advice is to get each important skill to rank 8 for its first specialty, then spend what is left on your main damage skills. Collecting the feathers for the monolith adds skill points as you level.

MP is part of your damage

Two of your passives only work above an MP threshold:

PassiveBonusWhile MP is
Robe of EarthCritical Hit50% or more
Grace of Enhancement20% PvE Damage Boost25% or more

That is why aLuckyRO picks MP specialties on several skills while your gear is weak. In his macro test, his MP stays around half without him pressing anything but the macro key.

Creator tip

If you will have some small gap, you can just stop your macro, quick recharge your mana and then continue again.

Active skills and specialties

Each note gives aLuckyRO's first specialty, plus Kanon's cooldown picks for when the skill ranks up.

Hellfire is the skill to invest in. aLuckyRO's specialties:

WhenHellfire specialty
Clearing dungeons+30% Skill Speed
Final boss, where the extra ticks have time to landFire Damage over Time
LaterAdd the -15s cooldown
PvPIgnores Block and Evasion

Firestorm drains MP fast, so in his specialty walkthrough aLuckyRO takes -50% MP Cost. Kanon builds two cooldown loops from later specialties:

SpecialtyEffect
Firestorm, rank 12Each fireball takes 2 seconds off Hellfire's cooldown
Blaze, rank 16Shortens Wish of Concentration's cooldown
Wish of Concentration, rank 16Cuts all your cooldowns by 10 seconds

The second loop needs both skills at rank 16, so plan the ranks before you count on it.

Stigmas

Stigmas level separately with stigma points and gain a new effect at ranks 5, 10, 15 and 20. You do not choose these effects; each rank unlocks the next one.

In his macro setup, aLuckyRO runs the buff first, then Cold Storm, Fire Wall and Delayed Explosion. He says to watch their ranks, because these are the stigmas you want as high as possible. Earlier in the video he also shows Divine Burst, Glacial Smite, Steel Barrier and Soul Freeze in his lineup.

Madsin names Fire Wall among the stigmas that raise a Sorcerer's damage. aLuckyRO likes it when the boss stands still or when you farm mobs that walk through it.

Passives

Rotation and macro

aLuckyRO's macro runs your fillers and leaves the big decisions to you.

  1. Buff

Open with Element Enhancement and Wish of Concentration.

  2. Stigmas

Cast Cold Storm, Fire Wall and Delayed Explosion. Delayed Explosion makes the target take 15% more damage from you until it goes off.

  3. Hold the macro

Hold the macro key for your fillers. Put Flame Scattershot on it too: it only fires when the boss is staggered.

  4. Hellfire by hand

Cast Hellfire yourself whenever it is ready. Save cooldown reductions for when Hellfire has a long wait left.

To set it up, open Settings, then key settings, and bind the macro key under gameplay. Add your skill rows to the macro list. aLuckyRO's delay between steps:

Creator tip

If you see the shadows, it means that character cancelled the animation for the skills and you are good to go. Your delay is acceptable.

He also prefers tab target mode, because of how Flame Arrow, which restores MP, behaves between skills:
