Aion 2 Spiritmaster guide: playstyle, build and boards

TL;DR
- Spiritmaster is a ranged magic class that fights with an orb and summoned spirits. It has no positional requirement.
- Your main damage skill is Elemental Fusion. Each time a spirit uses its skill you gain an element, and at four you can cast Elemental Fusion.
- Summon: Ancient Spirit is the stigma the class is built around. For 30 seconds it grants Four Elements every time it uses its skill.
- Creators call it one of the easier rotations in the game and strong in long boss fights. It is weak if someone reaches you before your spirits and buffs are up.
- Spirit Strike is the first passive to level in every guide we checked.
Is Spiritmaster right for you?
Pick Spiritmaster if you want a ranged damage dealer with a simple rotation and you like a class that ramps up over a fight. Storyteller, who mains the class, recommends it as the ranged class for players new to MMORPGs because its damage rotation is one of the easiest in the game. SywoGG lists it third among the easiest classes, after Gladiator and Ranger.
Creator tip
But once the fight continues and the Spirit Master gets all its damage running properly, its sustained DPS becomes extremely competitive.

Creator tip
If you don't want to play a support, then Spiritmaster is the best DPS choice on a higher ping because most of your damage comes from pets and pets are only partially microed by you with a key press.
Rankings vary by creator. Kanon's damage rankings put Spiritmaster in his A tier with Ranger and Assassin, behind Sorcerer. MistaWigglez ranks it much lower in his PvE tier list, mainly because so few players ran the class in the data he used. Treat any tier list as one creator's snapshot.
How Spiritmaster plays
You have four elemental spirits from your skill book and a fifth, the Ancient Spirit, from a stigma. When you summon a spirit it attacks right away, and each spirit has a chance to use its own skill as it fights. Every spirit skill use gives you an element. Four elements grant Four Elements status, which unlocks Elemental Fusion.
That is why you cycle spirits instead of leaving one out. Kanon estimates Elemental Fusion alone is 15 to 20% of a Spiritmaster's damage.
Creator tip
So, the goal is simple. Buff up, apply dots, cycle through pets, get stacks, pop Elemental Fusion when it's up.

Between summons you cast Cold Shock for MP, Combustion for damage, and Dimensional Control, which becomes available each time a spirit uses its skill.
