Aion 2 Spiritmaster Daevanion guide: nodes to take first

By CorpusPublished

NCSOFT / AION 2 official Steam screenshots

TL;DR

  • Take Combat Speed on Nezekan and Damage Boost on Zikel first. These are the orange nodes aLuckyRO goes for.
  • Skip Critical Damage Boost on Vaizel early. aLuckyRO's point is that a fresh Spiritmaster rarely lands critical hits.
  • On every board, take the skill nodes for Elemental Fusion, Combustion, Cold Shock and Dimensional Control. Each board adds one rank.
  • Pick skill nodes close to your path. You will fill most of each board eventually, so the order matters more than the final shape.

How the boards work for Spiritmaster

Spiritmaster has five Daevanion boards:

Every one of the first four boards has a node for each of Spiritmaster's twelve base active skills. Skill points stop at rank 10, so these nodes are a large part of how Elemental Fusion and Combustion reach 20. The Spiritmaster PvE build explains which ranks you need.

aLuckyRO's method is to finish the line to the orange node first, then take the skill nodes for your priority skills that sit close to that line. A skill node a few steps off your path is cheaper than one on the far side of the board, and it can save you the 4-point skill ranks at 8 to 10.

Creator tip

The Daevanion board you will fill up full anyway. That's not a big deal, but you can optimize it.

The numbered nodes on each board below follow that order. The planner finds the path between them for you. Open any board in the Daevanion planner to plan a route within your crystal budget.

Nezekan: Combat Speed

aLuckyRO starts the board with the Combat Speed line. In his build guide he explains that as your attack speed rises, your spirits build Elemental Fusion stacks faster.

After the two Combat Speed nodes, the numbered nodes are Elemental Fusion, Spirit Strike, Cold Shock, Dimensional Control, Combustion and Jointstrike: Curse.

Zikel: Damage Boost

Leave Damage Tolerance until your offensive nodes are done.

The Elemental Fusion and Combustion nodes sit near the first Damage Boost, and Dimensional Control is near the second.

Vaizel: skill nodes before Critical Damage Boost

aLuckyRO skips the Critical Damage Boost line early. He tested auto attacks on a training dummy and landed one critical hit in 44.

Creator tip

If you don't crit, you don't need critical damage boost. Why you going to spend a lot of tokens when you can use it much better way?

aLuckyRO · Watch at 27:03

Take the skill nodes first. Come back for Critical Damage Boost once your Critical Hit is much higher. aLuckyRO gives about 800 to 1,000 Critical Hit as the point where the crit passives start to matter.

Triniel: core skills

None of the Spiritmaster guides we used covers this board's orange nodes, so the numbered nodes below are only the skill nodes for the same priority skills.

  2. 2Jointstrike: Curse +1 skill level · 3 points · level 40

After the priority nodes

Once the numbered nodes are done, fill in the remaining skill nodes and offensive stats. Storyteller counts on four ranks from the boards toward rank 20 on Elemental Fusion and Combustion, so take those two skill nodes on every board before other skills. For passives, put Spirit Strike nodes first; it is the first passive in both creators' builds.
