Overview
An offensive support: a staff fighter whose mantras lift the whole party and whose own damage sits well above a healer's. Easy to pick up and wanted in groups, it suits players who want both PvE and PvP, but it is not the main healer for hard content.

The Chanter possesses a variety of status effect skills. They increase ally stats during party play, and can function in several roles simultaneously, from buffer to a secondary healer or damage dealer.
What makes the Chanter tick
Dark Crush opens for a short window after a ranged skill such as Spinning Strike or Impactful Crush. At rank 16 its Specialty removes the cooldown, and most of your damage flows through it.
Rush Dark Crush to rank 16 before anything else; its cooldown removal changes how the class plays.
- Undefeated Mantra and Sprint Mantra on
- Power of the Storm before the pull
- Rushing Smash in
- Hold left click for Onslaught
- Right-click macro: Dark Crush and its triggers
- Recuperation by hand
When should Power of the Storm go out in PvE?
Before every pull, so the party's opening cooldowns come back sooner
Late in a boss fight the party is struggling with; it is mostly a PvP tool

Chanter priorities
Chase Dark Crush first on Arcana; use Transmute to craft a card that is sure to carry it.
Put Attack Preparation on the Bell and Wind's Promise and Impact Hit on the Mirror.
Once four skills reach rank 20, put further Arcana into passives.
Is Gust Rampage worth ranking?
No, leave it once Dark Crush is 16
Yes, to 16 for its cooldown refund
Every class
Farm Vakron Sky Island before Urugugu Canyon: every Vakron armor drop is an upgrade, while Urugugu also drops other classes' weapons.
Hold pity selectors and Exploration chests until you know your last missing piece.
Fill all five Arcana slots as soon as Transcendence opens. For now, card grade matters more than which skills a card carries.
Party finders ask for Combat Power well above the minimum, so form your own group with a tank and a healer.

Daevanion
Plan Chanter boardsStat nodes sit in the same places for every class. Each Active skill has one node on each of the first four boards; each Passive has two on Nezekan or Zikel and one each on Vaizel and Triniel. Azphel has stat nodes only.
Run the gold lanes: Combat Speed on Nezekan, Damage Boost on Zikel, Critical Damage Boost on Vaizel. Take the Dark Crush, Spinning Strike, Onslaught and Incandescent Blow nodes on the way.
Critical Damage Boost pays off early on a Chanter because Dark Crush always crits.
Cooldown nodes are a lower priority than the damage lanes.
Put leftover points into Attack, not Defense, this season.
