How to Fish: Summon the Albatross and reach Island 5

Quick steps

1. 1 Catch a Tuna

   Use the Professional Boss Lure to catch a Tuna. The lure is sold at this Island 4 purchase point.

2. 2 Leave the Tuna in the encounter area

   Place it on the grass in the Albatross encounter area. Let go of the fish, finish any active boss encounter, and leave it there while you wait for the Albatross to appear.

3. 3 Defeat the bird and collect its head

   Kill the Albatross and pick up the dropped Albatross Head.

4. 4 Take the flash drive

   Bring the head to the Seagull Keeper for his Quest: island-passage request. Claim his flash drive to add Island 5 to your map.

Why won't the Albatross appear?

The Tuna must stay inside the marked encounter area. Leaving it elsewhere on the island does not trigger the bird. Holding the Tuna resets the wait, so put it down and leave it in place. Moving it outside the area also resets the trigger.

The encounter waits until no boss is active and at least one player is alive. Clear an existing boss before waiting for the bird. The Professional Boss Lure catches Tuna; the Albatross arrives through this island encounter.

Should you bring the Tuna to the Keeper?

Use the Tuna to attract the bird. The Quest: passage request accepts one Albatross Head, which drops when you defeat the Albatross.

Pick up the head before returning to the Seagull Keeper. His hand-in checks that a player has held it.

What does the flash drive unlock?

Claiming it gives you the coordinates for Island 5. Killing the bird and handing over its head still leave the reward-claim action to do.

The Whale Scientist on that island needs five creatures to prepare whale bait. You can use ordinary eligible catches for his request.
